Before any siding goes on we inspect the sheathing, repair any rotted or soft wood we find, and install properly taped house wrap to create a true weather barrier. Kick-out flashing where the siding meets roof lines, correctly lapped joints, and caulked penetrations are the details that keep water out for the next 20 years. A lot of siding failures we've fixed on WNC homes weren't material failures — they were install failures. We do it once and we do it right.

Will replacing siding help with insulation?
Yes — most jobs include adding or upgrading the exterior wrap and rigid foam underlayment, which improves the home’s thermal envelope. Insulated vinyl and Hardie systems can both contribute meaningful R-value when paired with proper underlayment.
Hardie vs vinyl — which should I pick?
Hardie costs more upfront but lasts decades longer, holds paint better, and resists impact and fire. Vinyl is more affordable, faster to install, and never needs painting. We walk through the trade-offs against your budget at the estimate.
Do you handle the flashing details?
Yes — and that is where most failed siding jobs go wrong. Kick-out flashing, window head flashing, sill pans, taped house wrap, proper J-channel detailing — those go in correctly the first time so water has no path inside the wall.
How long does a typical siding job take?
Most residential siding replacements run 5–10 working days depending on home size and detail complexity. Hardie installs are slower than vinyl because of the fastening requirements, but the result holds up dramatically longer.
