Asphalt shingles

Architectural and designer shingles are the most popular roofing choice in Asheville for good reason: they balance affordability, durability, and curb appeal. We install shingles from CertainTeed, Atlas, and GAF. For most Western North Carolina homes we recommend architectural laminate shingles — they handle WNC wind well and have a clean dimensional look that suits both modern and traditional houses.

A properly installed metal roof can last 40–70 years with very little maintenance. We offer Tuff-Rib (exposed-fastener), standing-seam (hidden-fastener), and metal-shingle systems, with a 15-year workmanship warranty on every metal install. Metal also reflects heat, qualifies for some insurance discounts, and is fully recyclable at end of life.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a roof replacement take?
Most residential replacements wrap in one to two days once we are on-site. Larger homes, complex pitches, or multiple-layer tear-offs can run three to five days. Your written estimate has a realistic timeline for your specific roof.
Do I need to be home during the install?
No. The crew works from outside the house and respects the property the whole time. It will be loud during tear-off, so you may want to plan around that, but you do not need to be on-site.
Can you reuse my existing decking?
Whenever the deck is solid, yes. Every board gets inspected after tear-off; soft, rotted, or delaminated plywood is replaced before the new roof goes on. Decking repair is itemized separately so you only pay for what is actually replaced.
What does the warranty cover?
Two warranties: a 10-year Drew Renovation workmanship warranty on the install itself, plus the manufacturer warranty on the materials (CertainTeed limits depend on the line — Landmark is 30-year, Presidential 50-year). Paperwork lands in your hands at completion.
